Shit every time I go to The Vanguard I'm reminded of two things....Just how much people love dressing to impress, and that it has one of the most amazing sound systems, perfect fucking lighting/lazers/video screens and everything else, not to leave out that the music is to die for, not some of this cheesy shit I hear these days, just very hard banging darker beats, I LOVE IT
What a great night it was. Getting to hear DJ Dan again just restored my faith in the man. That and Donald Glaude was a fucking wacko again but what else do you expect from him.
And damn the DJ set from Rabbit In The Moon was pretty cool as well, just a little bit too chilled out for me, before that was DJ Dan and he ripped everyone a new asshole, so yeah nobody came close to his energy...

Ya Donald Glaude kinda always has that signature sound with the crazy effects every minute, so that wasn't too new in my book. BUT FUCK DJ Dan just pulls shit out of his bag of tricks and always has some amazing tunes to play, and perhaps some of the hardest banging make you jump shit too...just a great time...

And no she isn't with me and thanks for the info I'll make sure not to show the GF that picture LOL...

Different way people dress yes, but I believe the overall goal is the same when it comes to listening to some hard ass dance music and having a great time in this chaotic life we all live.....Sure they dont get all the little kids who's sole purpose is to get fucked up at a rave, actually they just get big kids that like doing the same thing LOL...but I was sober the whole night, and still managed to move the entire freaking time...

But yeah before I finish I have to say again that every time I go to the Vanguard I'm always very happy with the music that is being played....They dont play very many songs with voices, just pure very hard deep ass beats...thats how I think every party should be

yea i went there for sander van doorn the other week. i had a blast. loved svd's harder/techy trance on their system. i got down all night long.

Insomniac put on the show and they always have high quality events. You want more parties like that go to Insomniac events. Halfthe party is the DJ's and the other half is the promoters. It doesnt matter how dope the DJ is if the production sucks... or vice versa.

This one was put on by Giant but I get your point..........I'm just saying I dont see how it can be so hard to put on great raves anymore...But hey thats why some production teams are way up in the ladder where some other ones never get off the ground...

I dont think a lot of the new promoters really care about the scean and only care about the money. They wont be around in a few years and are trying to squeeze every penny out of us. Other compaines like Giant and Insomniac plan on staying in the scean for decades to come so one one bad party will ruin them. Maybe not one but you get my point. Some of the shaddy promoters throw a party under one name then the next party under another name so people wont know it's them. Thats one reason why I look to see who is throwing the party and not just the line up. Wish I could have made it last night, but I didnt feel like making the drive.
